Independent contractor or common law employee

Given the recent lawsuit in California against Uber regarding the driver classification, the lawsuits by construction company subcontractors, the agency rulings by the Department of Labor and other similar events and occurrences, it is highly advisable to revisit your independent contractor hiring program, if you have one.
